Setel now lets you refuel your car with just one tap of a button

Setel has introduced a new ‘One-Tap Fuelling’ feature, which as its name suggests, enables users to activate the fuel pump with just one tap on the app upon arrival at any Petronas stations nationwide. The feature is currently available for the first 1,000 registered Setel users across the country, and will be gradually rolled-out to all users in the next two months.

Compared to the current process of refuelling with Setel, which requires five clicks in the app, the new feature simplifies the process to just a single tap after completing a one-time setup. As with any other fuel purchases made through Setel, the new One-Tap Fuelling feature will also earn users Mesra points instantly with a linked loyalty card.

Setel Chief Executive Officer, Mazlin Erawati Ab Manan said, “We are constantly innovating and developing solutions that meet our users’ ever-evolving needs, especially in this endemic period where Malaysians are travelling more frequently than before. Over the past four years, our loyal users have continuously raved about their refuelling experience at Petronas stations.

“Setel offers a more personalised and faster refuelling journey for its users. Gone are the days of rummaging through wallets for cash or cards to refuel and earn loyalty points. We understand the scarcest resource a customer has is time,” she added.

Can’t wait for the feature to be rolled out to you? You can opt-in for early bird access by posting an Instagram Story or Tweet of your ‘Dah Setel So Far’ page with the caption: “I want One-Tap Fuelling now”, tag @setel, and include the #SetelOneTapFuelling hashtag.

From now until October 4, 2022, Setel users will also stand a chance to win limited-edition Setel gift boxes when they upload their most creative video on Instagram or Twitter showing their experience using the One-Tap Fuelling feature. Remember to also include the same tag and hashtag in the post.

Setel says that the app’s future updates will allow users to pre-set their preferred fuelling amount, either by litres or a full tank, when setting up the One-Tap Fuelling feature. Users will also be able to select their preferred payment method, which includes CardTerus for direct payments via debit or credit cards, as well as Setel Share, a feature that allows users to share their Setel Wallet or CardTerus with two others to pay whilst jointly earning Mesra points.

The latest version of the Setel app can be downloaded for free on iOS and Android via the Apple Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei AppGallery.
