If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past 12 months, you’d realise that there are more and more electric vehicles being launched be it from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Kia or Hyundai.
There’s more; with Great Wall Motor returning to Malaysia under its new GWM branding, the company looks set to cause a stir in Malaysia with cars like the Haval Jolion, the Haval H6, and this, the fully electric Ora Good Cat hatchback.
At the preview of the Ora Good Cat EV, GWM also announced that they will continue investing in the country with the aim of carrying out localised assembly through cooperation with the Go Auto Group.
Detailed specifications of the Ora Good Cat is not yet available although it’s safe to expect a single electric motor driving the front wheels with 143 hp and 210 Nm, just like the model revealed in Thailand. It’s expected to return up to 500 km of electric range.
Great Wall Motor is currently the largest SUV and pickup manufacturer in China, with over 11 million vehicles sold worldwide in 2021, and a million vehicles sold in China for six consecutive years.
