Petronas’ new Café Mesra now offers barista-quality coffee at selected stations

Stuck on the roads, but desperately need a cup of good Joe? Good news – you now have at least one more option to choose from, as Petronas has just unveiled the new Café Mesra coffee shop, with outlets to be strategically located at selected Petronas stations for greater convenience.

The café will offer a range of foods and beverages, including “barista-quality” handcrafted coffee featuring its signature Mesra Latte, alongside two “new food concepts” dubbed Fusian and SayHeart. The former, as the name suggests, offers a selection of blended cuisine such as Nasi Goreng Mesra and Nasi Goreng Salsa.

SayHeart, meanwhile, features “healthy yet tasty food for the health-conscious”, including a plant-based Ayam Masak Merah with cauliflower rice, gluten-free plant-based burger, and an all-natural decadent Kuih Bar. The company adds that the SayHeart food items are also locally sourced, in support of Malaysia’s local farmers and vendors.

Speaking at the launch, Mesra Retail & Café CEO, Ian Malcolm Cruddas said that the company expect to open and operate 50 Café Mesra outlets throughout the country by the end of the year, including standalone cafés and kiosks. It’s now available at 11 Petronas stations around Klang Valley, including a maiden drive-through Café Mesra at Petronas USJ20, plus one more at Bandar Baru Nilai.

Petronas Dagangan Berhad Vice President and Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Azrul Osman Rani said, “Café Mesra is part of PDB’s continuous pursuit to make our customers’ everyday lives simpler and better. This is yet another initiative where we leverage our existing network and infrastructure to widen our reach, improve our retail offering, and future-proof our business.”
