Video: Lotus Emira ‘First Edition’ with a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 in Malaysia, 5 Things

Lotus Kars Sdn. Bhd. recently showed us the new Lotus Emira and boy does it look as good as it does in the pictures; if not better! It’s priced from RM1,131,800 on-the-road, while prices in Langkawi start from RM456,900.

The Emira will be available in Malaysia firstly with a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine, with 405 hp and 420 Nm. The Toyota-sourced engine is paired to a 6-speed manual as standard, with a 6-speed automatic gearbox available as an option. With the manual gearbox, the Emira is only 0.1 seconds slower from 0 to 100 km/h at 4.3 seconds compared to the automatic gearbox.

On the outside, the Emira runs on 20-inch forged alloy wheels, with 4-pot brake calipers all-round. With the Lower Black Pack, the Emira’s front air blades, front splitter, side sills, and rear diffuser are all finished in gloss black.

The Emira can be specified with the Design Pack that adds privacy glass, sports pedals, Alcantara headlining and brake calipers either in black, red, yellow, or silver. The Design pack also comes with Lotus-branded footwell mats.

The new Emira offers up to 208-litre of storage behind the two seats and 151-litres in the boot; enough for one cabin-sized luggage or a set of golf clubs.

There are a variety of option packs for the Emira including the Convenience Pack that comes with front parking sensors, a reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming mirrors, and a net for rear luggage. The Driver’s Pack offers a choice of Sport or Touring suspension with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tyres or Sport suspension with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres.
