The highly-anticipated all-new 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W206) has just been unveiled here in Malaysia. Offered in two variants – C 200 Avantgarde and C 300 AMG Line – at launch, the all-new compact sedan will be fully imported for the time being, priced from RM288,334 on-the-road, without insurance, and inclusive of the SST exemptions until the 30th of June 2022.
EXTERIOR
On the outside, the all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class features a completely new design language, in line with the marque’s other latest models, including the all-new S-Class and facelift E-Class. The two models are differentiated by their exterior trims – the entry-level C 200 comes with the Avantgarde exterior package, while the range-topping C 300 is equipped with the sportier AMG Line trim.

INTERIOR
Much like its exterior, the cabin of the all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class has also been completely reworked, headlined by the new portrait-oriented infotainment screen at the centre of the dashboard. In terms of standard equipment, the interior appointments are mostly shared between the two variants, including:

- All-new MBUX operating system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, built-in Spotify and Apple Music

The range-topping Mercedes-Benz C 300 AMG Line variant however stands out with extra AMG Line goodies, including a sportier flat-bottom steering wheel, Sports seats, a variant-exclusive metal weave trim, and AMG floor mats.
SAFETY
Both variants of the all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class in Malaysia are equipped with advanced driver assistance features as standard, including:
- Active Lane Keeping and Lane Tracking Assist
- Active Blind Spot Assist
- Active Brake Assist
- Active Parking Assist with Parktronic
The range-topping C 300 AMG Line does however stand out with an additional 360-degree surround-view camera (reversing camera on C 200).
PRICING
The all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be fully imported at launch, with local assembly operations planned for the second half of 2022 (currently after the expiry of the SST exemptions). The all-new compact sedan is priced from:

- Mercedes-Benz C 300 AMG Line – RM330,681
Both figures above are on-the-road prices, without insurance, and inclusive of the 5% SST exemptions (for imported CBU models) until the 30th of June 2022. Also included in the price is a 2+2 year unlimited-mileage warranty.
