JMC Vigus Pro 4×4 pick-up previewed by Angka-Tan Motor



A new model is set to enter the ever-competitive pick-up truck landscape, with China’s JMC Vigus Pro 4×4 distributed by Angka-Tan Motor (ATM), a subsidiary of Warisan TC Holdings Berhad. The company has begun to preview the new pick-up model from today which is slated for launch later within this month.

JMC or Jiangling Motors Co. Ltd based in Nanchang, China has been placing as the second best-selling pick-up brand in China for many consecutive years. Angka-Tan Motor, also an affiliated company of Tan Chong Group, and JMC signed a Vehicle Technology Licensing agreement in July 2020 granting ATM the sole right to manufacture, assemble and sell the JMC Vigus Pro 4×4 pick-up in Malaysia.

The stylish and technologically advanced JMC Vigus Pro 4×4 pick-up truck has proven its mettle in the Chinese market and we can’t wait to share this new product with pick-up fans across Malaysia,” enthused Warisan TC Holdings Bhd, CEO, Tan Keng Meng.

Only key specifications and features are shared by Angka-tan Motor on the JMC Vigus Pro 4×4. For the powertrain, the pick-up truck has a 2.0-litre turbodiesel with outputs of 141 hp and 340 Nm, paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is rated at 7.8 litres / 100 km.

A BorgWarner electronically control 4WD system distributes power to all four wheels via the 4H and 4L modes, with additional rear-wheel traction provided by a locking differential from Eaton.

Angka-Tan Motor is set to officially launch the JMC Vigus Pro 4×4 within this month, hinting at attractive pricing and supported by 13 sales and service outlets nationwide.
