Video: JMC Vigus Pro launched in Malaysia, 5 Things

Angka-Tan Motor, a subsidiary of Warisan Tan Chong Holding, has launched the JMC Vigus Pro pick-up truck. Only one variant is available, starting from RM98,888.

The JMC Vigus Pro is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine paired to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The Ford engine pushes out 141 hp and 340 Nm; the latter from as low as 1,500 rpm. Fuel consumption is rated at 7.8L/100km.

Considering its price, the equipment list is quite comprehensive with LED daytime running lights, power-folding side mirrors with LED indicators, a sports bar, and parking sensors in the front and back. You also get front and rear fog lamps however, like the headlamps, they’re all halogen units.

As for the “pick-upy” aspects of the Vigus Pro, ground clearance is rated at 225 mm, with up to 850 kg of cargo payload.

Inside, the seats were surprisingly comfortable with decent amounts of legroom in the backseat. Three things would stand out in there; the twin-spoke steering, the Peugeot-like gear lever, and the cruise control feature that works up to 150 km/h.

As for the rest of the pick-up, check out the video to find out more!
