More than 110,000 applied for interstate travel but failed

While you and I have had our bottoms firm and flat at our home workstations and sleeping the weekends away, some have been attempting interstate travel, to no avail.

Bernama reported that some 114,474 applications for interstate travel were rejected by the police since the full lockdown came into effect on the 1st of June. Problem is, there was no mention of how many were approved either.

Bukit Aman said these applications did not fulfill the conditions for interstate travel and applicants failed to submit relevant documents to support their application. They were not “long-distance couples” either.

Currently, only long-distance couples and parents with children under 18 are allowed to cross states. This is only allowed if they are fully vaccinated and will require a permit from the police station.
