Perodua donates RM87k worth of supplies to Shah Alam General Hospital



In continuing to support and improve the local healthcare service and quality, Perodua has contributed RM87,967 worth of medical equipment and other supplies to the Shah Alam General Hospital. In May last year, the company donated RM80,000 worth of medical supplies to the Sg. Buloh Hospital.

Among the items contributed includes seven stethoscopes, a high-tech jelly pad, three photo lights, a free-standing warmer, a LSCS set for cesarean procedures, and 10 surgical scissors. The contributions are dedicated to the pediatric ward. Along with the contributions, front liners and patients were also presented with hampers.

The gifts and contributions were handed out by Perodua, President and CEO Dato’ Zainal Abidin to Shah Alam General Hospital, Director, Dr. Ruzita Othman.

“We will continue to communicate with key public institutions and the Ministry of Health to ensure consistent and continuous access to medical supplies for hospitals and add value to our country’s healthcare system.

Since the country was hit with Covid-19, Perodua has been actively despatching aid and assistance to various institutions; including supplying primary schools and secondary schools with face shields while a further 10,000 units were donated to the Hulu Selangor and Selangor municipals.
