BMW Black Vermilion Edition for the X5, X6 and X7 revealed!

BMW celebrates the success of the larger X5, X6 and X7 models with the Black Vermilion edition for the five-seaters while the seven-seater gets a simpler Frozen Black metallic edition.

Close to 250,000 units of the trio were sold last year, which translates to every eighth newly delivered BMW model was a BMW X5, X6 or X7.

The paintwork for all three edition models features the Frozen Black metallic. As for the Vermilion portion of the name, red is used on the vertical bars of the kidney grille as well as the M Sport brake calipers on the BMW X5 and X6. The Iconic Glow illuminated grille continues to be fitted on the BMW X6 Black Vermilion edition too.

BMW Laserlights with M headlights Shadow Line (darkened bezel) are also specified under the Black Vermilion edition. As for the wheels, the 22-inch double spoke 742M design units are finished in Orbit Grey. There are no other red highlights on the sides and rear of the BMW X5 and X6 Black Vermilion editions.

Meanwhile, the BMW X7 Frozen Black edition skips the red highlights and maintain high gloss black on the grille bars and M Sport brake calipers.

Inside, the BMW X5 and X6 Vermilion edition gets special Merino full leather in black with special red stitching on the seats and Fineline Black wood trim with aluminium inlays, both from the BMW Individual personalisation catalogue.

BMW mentioned that all three editions go on sale with all engines available for each of their original models.

Here in Malaysia, the locally-assembled BMW X5 is only available in the xDrive 45e plug-in hybrid variant priced up to RM439,444 with the extended five-year warranty and service maintenance package.

Meanwhile, the fully-imported BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport is priced at RM703,947 with the same warranty coverage as the earlier mentioned X5. The large BMW X7 that saw a significant reduction it retail pricing thanks to local assembly in Malaysia is now priced from RM648,934.
