New Toyota Land Cruiser accelerates like a hot hatch!

The all-new Land Cruiser was just launched earlier this month, and as expected there’s already a video demonstrating its acceleration on social media; posted by Kurdistan Automotive Blog.

Besides being built on Toyota’s highly capable TNGA chassis for better handling and refinement, it is also the first Land Cruiser to be designed with a body-on-frame application.

It’s also really powerful too. It’s got a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 with 415 hp and 600 Nm but that’s all on paper, until this Facebook post.

The video only shows the instrument cluster of the Land Cruiser and the way the needles move, would surprise you. It appears smooth, relentless and boy, does it sound good too!

0 to 100 km/h is done in a brisk and if you noticed, the V6 engine appeared really eager to rev to the redline too – very suprising performance for such a big lump indeed.

One of the reasons for this could be down to the big SUVs dramatic weight loss. Compared to the previous model, the all-new model is around 200 kg lighter but just as stiff, due to the TNGA-F platform it is built on.

The Land Cruiser also comes with a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engine, with 309 hp and 700 Nm.
