Video: G28 BMW 330Li M Sport launched in Malaysia, 5 Things

The first-ever G28 BMW 330Li M Sport has just arrived in Malaysia following its release in China, India, and most recently in Thailand. Priced at an estimated RM 300,800 on-the-road before insurance, the long-wheelbase 3-Series will be accompanied by a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty with free scheduled service.

Under the hood is a 3.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder just like the one you find in the standard 330i we reviewed, with no changes in output figures. You still get 258 hp and 400 Nm, however, the 330Li’s 0 to 100 km/h time is 0.4 seconds slower than the standard 330i at 6.2 seconds.

That’s primarily down to the additional weight the 330Li is carrying as it is an extra 110 mm longer than the standard 330i. Unlike the standard 330i, the long-wheelbase model also comes with better looking (in our opinion) 18-inch style 848 light-alloy wheels, wrapped with run flat tyres.

The additional length in wheelbase also means the 330Li’s boot is 10 litres larger than the standard 330i at 480 litres.

Inside, the “luxury compact limo” feel is further enhanced with 3-zone air conditioning, a light bar behind the front seats, a 10-speaker sound system, and a massive panoramic sunroof!
