Following the launch of the IS 500 F SPORT Performance last month, Lexus has unveiled the limited edition IS 500 F SPORT Performance Launch Edition where only 500 units will be available, exclusively to the US market.
Performance figures remain unchanged with 472 hp and 535 Nm from a naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8. The exclusivity, however, lies with numerous interior and exterior trims which will only be available in the Launch Edition.
On the outside, the Launch Edition comes with 19-inch forged alloy BBS wheels which are optional items from the IS F Sport Dynamic Handling Package. They’re also around 2 kg lighter than the standard 19-inch wheels in the IS F Sport. As for the paintwork, the Incognito colour is an all-new colour for the Lexus line up.
Inside, the Performance Edition comes with Ultrasuede upholstery, along with silver ash wood finishing on the steering wheel. Just to make the Launch Edition a little more special, each of the 500 units come with a serialised badge.
Even the instrument cluster comes with a “Launch Edition start up animation” that’s different from the standard IS 500!
