The debut of the Lexus GX in Malaysia comes two years after its global unveiling in 2023. Measuring 5,015 mm long, 1,980 mm wide, and 1,865 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm, this large SUV slots perfectly between the Lexus RX and the flagship Lexus LX.
Under the skin, the GX is built on the GA-F body-on-frame chassis shared with the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 Series, effectively making it a more refined and luxurious counterpart to the legendary off-roader.
For those seeking adventure, the launch lineup includes the Lexus GX 550 Overtrail. This variant sets itself apart with a rugged, utilitarian exterior featuring black-finished overfenders, bridge-type roof rails, and 18-inch matte grey aluminium wheels wrapped in chunky 265/70R18 tyres.

Interior configurations differ by variant, with the GX 550 Overtrail configured as a two-row five-seater, while the range-topping GX 550 Luxury features three-row seating for seven occupants.
Regardless of the layout, both variants are equipped with a 14-inch central touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This is paired with a 12.3-inch full LCD digital gauge cluster, all designed around Lexus’s ‘Tazuna’ cockpit concept to ensure controls and information are accessible with minimal eye and hand movement.
