Sime Darby Auto Selection’s new online store lets you shop pre-owned, used cars from home

Sime Darby pre-owned cars subsidiary, Sime Darby Auto Selection (SDAS), today launched its new online used car-buying platform, promising customers a “seamless used car buying experience”.

The new online store located on their website (linked here) will allow customers to choose from a wide range of vehicles, from used to nearly new. The cars listed on the platform are not limited to just the brands under Sime Darby Motor’s stable, too. At launch, the online store has already listed up to 300 used cars available for viewing.

Each vehicle listed for sale on the SDAS platform will be subjected to a thorough inspection process to ensure it is in the best possible condition and quality. Customers looking to sell or trade in their vehicles can also schedule a car inspection, test drive, or appraisal appointment directly from the website itself.

The website also comes with a “Spin Car” feature which offers 360-degree views of both the interior and exterior of the vehicles, allowing customers to inspect the vehicles of their choice in more detail from all angles.

SDAS is also looking to expand the usability of the website in the near future, with addition of features including loan calculators and booking transactions to enable placement of orders at the customers’ convenience without the need to visit a dealership.

Existing users meanwhile can login to book service appointments with Sime Darby’s aftersales department directly from the website. SDAS Managing Director, Vi Think Juan added, “By leveraging on the power of the internet and mobile technology, we are able to provide a seamless online used car trading experience for our customers, and we hope to leverage on this capability to grow our business even further.”

Recently, SDAS also announced an exclusive partnership with Malaysian online car bidding platform MyTukar to help the company expand its used car business.
