The recall exercise is in line with the global product recall for Denso fuel pumps, which have also affected other brands including Toyota and Honda in Malaysia.
Customers affected by this recall exercise will be notified directly through mail and SMS which will include details of the product recall. The company urges those who have received the notification to contact any authorised Mazda service centre to schedule an appointment.
You can also check if your vehicle is affected in this recall exercise by entering your chassis number or Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at the Mazda Malaysia website here.
The replacement of the affected fuel pump will be done free of charge, with all costs borne by Mazda Motor Corporation, Japan. The duration of repair service is estimated to take approximately 1.5 hours, or slightly longer depending on the model and the service centre workload at the time of appointment. The replacement stocks will be available in stages.
Bermaz Motor reassures that it is working with Mazda Corporation to resolve the matter as swiftly as possible. The safety of the customers is of the utmost priority, and the company apologizes for any inconvenience caused to the affected customers.
