Volkswagen dealerships across the country will be hosting a special sales event for the Passat Elegance this weekend on the 10th and 11th October 2020, from 11 am to 5 pm. In addition to just the brick and mortar stores, the sales event will also be happening virtually on the respective dealerships’ own social media channels.
The dealerships will be hosting their own Facebook Live stream, where sales consultants will provide detailed introduction and walkthroughs of the various models on sale. Customers can send in their questions and interact directly with the sales consultants, from the comfort and safety of their own homes.
During the event, an additional RM2,000 rebate will be offered on the entire Passat range – including the Elegance, United, and the upcoming R-Line – and will be applicable on top of any existing ongoing rebates. In the case of the Passat Elegance, this adds up to a total of RM4,000 in rebates.
As for the other Volkswagen models, a RM1,000 rebate (on top of other ongoing rebates) will also be offered for the Vento, Golf R-Line, Tiguan as well as the recently launched Tiguan Allspace R-Line and Highline, and the Arteon R-Line.
The Volkswagen Passat Elegance was launched locally early this year, sporting a refreshed exterior design and a new 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged engine, good for 190 hp and 320 Nm of torque, paired to seven-speed wet-clutch dual clutch transmission.
The United limited edition meanwhile adds on RM12k worth of Volkswagen Original Accesories to the Passat, including 19-inch Verona wheels with a self-centering hub caps, LED projection door lights, and aluminium scuff plates.
The soon-to-be-launched Passat R-Line gains additional sporty exterior trims including the R-Line bumpers, as well as several mechanical upgrades such as the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) and Electronic Differential Lock (XDS) for a sportier driving experience, though powertrain remains the same as the Elegance.
