Malaysia Autoshow 2020 to be postponed to 2021

The annual Malaysia Autoshow scheduled to take place in July this year at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) has been postponed to 2021 due to the current Covid-19 pandemic.

According to organisers Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), the Autoshow is expected to take place in April 2021 – subject to developments of the pandemic.

MARii CEO, Dato’ Madani Sahari said, “Despite the postponement, MARii is looking at potential technologies to host a digital version of an automotive sales and education show. With the absence of this year’s event, we’ll rethink and innovate the way we gather the automotive community in a safe and secure way”, said Dato’ Madani Sahari, CEO MARii.

“We hope that the situation improves this year so we can start planning for an even bigger Autoshow next year, showcasing the latest mobility technology and creating a new experience in automotive and mobility exhibitions for the tech-savvy consumer”, he added.
