Will the Sporty Package on the Nissan Livina be enough to make you forget its roots?

Remember the new Nissan Livina that is basically a Mitsubishi Xpander underneath it? Perhaps in a move to differentiate itself a little more from it’s almost-identical twin, Nissan has now introduced a 100 units only “Sporty Package” for the seven-seater MPV, exclusively for the Indonesian market.

The Nissan Livina with Sporty Package’s exterior features consists of a black paint job, contrasted by red accents on the front splitter, side skirts, rear bumpers, and wing mirror covers. Otherwise, the limited-edition MPV is unchanged from the regular version.

Inside, the Sporty Package gets premium seat covers with sporty red stitching accents, along with a 360-degree around-view camera that can project a bird’s eye view around the car, making it easier for urban driving.

The Nissan Livina with Sporty Package also comes as standard with ‘Welcome’ and ‘Coming Home’ Lights, which illuminates the front positioning lights for 30 seconds when locking or unlocking the car – helpful for dimly-lit parking lots or driveways.

No changes are made underneath the hood; the Nissan Livina with Sporty Package still comes with the same 1.5-litre engine engine that’s shared with the Xpander, producing 104 hp and 140 Nm to drive the front wheels via a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

According to Nissan Indonesia, the Livina has already become one of the company’s best-sellers, since it’s introduction in the country last year. The firm says that customers are particularly fond of the spacious interior with 17 storage compartments, as well as advanced technologies such as the Smart Connectivity Audio and Intelligent Hill Start Assist.
