Volvo Car Malaysia and new dealer-partner, Sime Darby Swedish Auto, today opened the doors to their latest Volvo 3S Centre at Sime Darby Motors City in Ara Damansara.
The new 50,742 square feet facility is built according to Volvo Car’s global retail standard – the Volvo Retail Experience (VRE). Spread across four storeys, the new Volvo 3S Centre will be the first 3S Centre in the region to be equipped with a Virtual Reality Studio and “Reception at the Counter” bay – immediate service without prior appointment.
The ground floor houses the showroom as well as the service centre, while a car detailing area is spread across the second and third floor. The fourth floor houses the wheel alignment and balancing zone.
The service centre comprises of eight repair and service bays in total, including the two “Reception at the Counter” bays, manned by eight highly skilled personnel. The new service centre expects a monthly service throughput of 400 vehicles.
Aside from the VRE, the Volvo 3S by Sime Darby Swedish Auto also adheres to the marquee’s principles of sustainability. All customer parking bays will be equipped with an electric vehicle charger, while the showroom also attempts to reduces usage of single-use plastic and paper by adopting a Digital Silent Salesman (DSS) tablet beside every model on display.
At the launch, Volvo Car Malaysia Managing Director, Nalin Jain said, “The partnership we have with premium dealers such as Sime Darby Swedish Auto is the key to expanding the Volvo brand’s Swedish-inspired ideals and heritage especially within regard to its retail experience, new car sales and customer service improvement. There is an amazing potential.”
When asked about sales target for 2020, Nalin says that the brand has “very aggressive sales targets” this year, especially with the expansion of the Swedish brand’s dealership network in recent years. However, no specific numbers were given.
Volvo 3S Ara Damansara is located at Block 6, Sime Darby Motors City, 6 Jalan PJU 1A/7, 47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Operation hours for the showroom is from 8.30 am to 6 pm from Mondays to Fridays, from 9 am to 6 pm on Saturdays, and 10 am to 6 pm on Sundays and public holidays.
The Service Centre opens from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays, and from 8.30 am to 12.45 pm on Saturdays.
