A botch reverse maneuver nearly sent the driver and her Toyota C-HR into a possibly fatal plunge recently before bystanders rushed to her aid.
In what seemed like just another attempt at reverse parking, the driver is seen in the surveillance video reversing rapidly through the barrier behind her.
Thankfully the C-HR came to a stop but it still left the rear wheels dangling in the air, with the driver trapped in the car before she was pulled to safety through the passenger side door.
It was reported that the lady had just bought the crossover and was confused with how the gears worked. When it started reversing, she panicked and pressed on the accelerator – what a thing to do. Wouldn’t it make more sense to hit the brakes?
