Ford celebrates the year-end with sales and services promotions

In conjunction with the year-end festivities, Sime Darby Auto Connexion, the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, is offering sales promotions for selected models, as well as services discounts.

From now until 31st January 2020, customers who purchase the Ford Ranger WildTrak or Ranger Raptor will enjoy a two years/40,000 km free maintenance package, in addition to a free christmas gift worth RM2,000 and a Ford Performance golf umbrella. The Ranger WildTrak also comes with a RM3,000 cash rebate during this promotional period.

All existing Ford owners are eligible to a free 27-point vehicle inspection by Ford-certified technicians, perfect for ensuring your vehicles are in serviceable conditions before the holiday road trip.

Within the promotional period, selected parts and engine oils for selected Ford models are also available with up to 20% discount. Additionally, a 10% discount is available on labour fees for lubricant, brakes, and timing belt service packages for selected models.

All customers who pay in cash with a spending of more than RM350 in a single receipt will receive a complimentary set of travel cutleries. As the promotional period coincides with the Chinese New Year celebrations, Ford will also be giving out free Ford ‘Ang Pao’ packets to all service customers.

The Ford Ranger was launched in 2018, and has proven its popularity with the Malaysians, with a 16.2% market share in the pick-up truck segment within the country as of October this year.

Two variants of the WildTrak are available – the WildTrak 4×2 is powered by a 2.0-litre EcoBlue single-turbo diesel mill that pushes out 180 hp and 420 Nm, while the WildTrak 4×4 gets an additional turbocharger to bump the output figure up to 213 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

The 4×4 variant also comes packed with advanced driver assist features such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking with vehicle and pedestrian detection (AEB), Lane Departure Warning and Assist as well as Semi-Automatic Parallel Parking (SAPP).

The performance-oriented Ranger Raptor shares the same powerplant from the WildTrak 4×4, but gets FOX shock absorbers as standard for better off-road capabilities. The Ranger Raptor has also been recently added into the UK Police vehicle fleet for testing, a testament of its off-road performance.

Both the Ranger WildTrak and Raptor, as with the rest of the Ford Ranger line-up, come with three years/100,000 km full manufacturer’s warranty as standard.
