Hyundai announced that they will be expanding its Eco-focused product line-up to 13 models by the year 2022. It will include six sedans and seven SUVs in Electric, Hybrid or Plug-in Hybrid forms.

According to Hyundai Motor America, Product, Corporate and Digital Planning, Vice President, Mike O’Brien said, “As the automotive industry evolves to meet the needs of a diverse customer base and environmentally-aware society, we will continue to provide alternative-propulsion options in a variety of product choices.”

“For consumers seeking forward-thinking and eco-friendly personal transportation options, Hyundai’s product line-up meets these criteria and more,” he added.

Upcoming models include the updated 2020 Ioniq that will be available in three different forms – the Ioniq Electric, the Ioniq Hybrid, and the Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid.

The new Ioniq will be revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show by the end of the month followed by the all-new Sonata HEV (that will be equipped with a solar charging roof system) sometime next year.

The other nine models will be introduced over the next three years.
