There are few cars that leave us in awe by its design, but the all-new Volvo S60 in R-Design trim is definitely one of them – so much so that we spent hours in the rain just to photograph it.
Styling is not its only selling point either, as the T8 hybrid powertrain under the hood also makes it by far the most powerful car in it’s class. Priced at RM295,888 (OTR without insurance), is this the dark horse among luxury C-segment sedans?
The T8 Twin Engine hybrid powertrain in the Volvo S60 T8 R-Design generates 407 hp and 640 Nm of torque, transferred to all four wheels via the 8-speed automatic transmission with Geartronic manual shift option.
The Volvo S60 T8 R-Design does zero to 100 km/h in a brisk 4.4 seconds, onward to a top speed of 250 km/h. Despite weighing over 2 tonnes, the hybrid engine manages a fuel consumption figure of just 2 l/100km.
