Mio dashcams now officially available in Malaysia, starting from RM399

Mio, a leading manufacturer of vehicle dashboard cameras (dash-cam) with more than 60% market share in Taiwan, has just launched their new Mio MiVue 7 line of dash-cams in Malaysia, their first foray into the Malaysian market.

The new MiVue 792 is the headline product from Mio. Equipped with Sony’s Starvis CMOS sensor, the MiVue 792 is capable of capturing images up to 4 times brighter than a regular camera sensor in low-light situations. The 140-degrees wide-angle lens and F/1.8 aperture records your front view in 1080p full-HD resolution at 60 frames per second

Featuring built in WiFi, users can quickly access the videos directly on their smartphone with real-time video backup capability through the MiVue application. In addition, the MiVue 792’s built in GPS also automatically records your driving information including speed, altitude, location and heading.

Launching alongside the MiVue 792 are the MiVue 785 featuring a 2.7-inch touch screen, MiVue 733 and the budget-friendly MiVue C360

The MiVue 792, 785 and C360 supports rear-view recording with the additional MiVue A30 sold separately. All cameras announced today also support parking mode, with the additional Smartbox accessory for external power source.

Mio also announced today that all dash-cam products will receive three-year warranty for the device itself, as well as free installation service at their authorised partner workshops.

All products are now available with prices starting at RM799 for the MiVue 792, RM599 for the MiVue 785, RM499 for the MiVue 733, RM399 for the MiVue C360 and RM499 for the MiVue A30 rear-view camera.
