I guarantee that you’ll watch this video more than once. Not only because it’s amusing (yet highly disturbing) to watch the most powerful Cayenne getting absolutely thrashed off-tarmac but just the constant counter-steering would leave you hooked and at the edge of your seat.

At one point, on a less punishing stretch, the 680 hp Cayenne driven by Tim Shrick, even got up to speeds of 180 km/h; on used road tyres no less! Shrick is a German racing driver and TV presenter, with brief appearances on Top Gear during the Clarkson’s era.

The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid’s powertrain makes a whopping 900 Nm of torque, just as much as a Bentley Bentayga, with the combination of a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 and an electric motor.

Despite its near 2.5-tonne weight, largely down to the 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery that offers the Cayenne a 40 km driving range and a top speed of 135 km/h purely on electric power, it still manages a 0 to 100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds. Top speed? 295 km/h.

Regularly spend countless hours online looking at cars and parts I can't afford to buy. How a car makes you feel behind the wheel should be more important than the brand it represents - unless resale value is your thing.
