Hyundai Tucson gets N Line treatment, extra spicy Kimchi

Call what you want about the Hyundai Tucson but sporty is the last adjective you’d use to describe this family-oriented SUV. But this Hyundai Tucson N Line is set to change that.

Visually, the Tucson N Line packs a lot more aggression with sportier bumpers, dark chrome mesh grille and black touches to the side mirror caps, roof and window surrounds. The headlamps and taillamps are also slightly tinted while the 19-inch black alloy wheels complete the new look.

The cabin is dressed in N-branded leather-suede sport seats and red accent stitching along the interior trims. Drivers are also greeted with new alloy pedals.

The striking exterior and sporty seats are backed with enhanced driving dynamics curtesy of retuned MDPS (motor driven power steering), stiffer springs all round (8% front; 5% rear) and software updates to give the Tucson N Line a sportier character and more direct feel at the wheel.

The Tucson N Line is available with two powertrain – 1.6-litre CRDi, 2.0-litre CRDi 48V and 1.6-litre TGDi. The CRDi turbodiesel engines pack 136 hp and 185 hp respectively while the turbo petrol delivers 177 hp. All engines are paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual clutch unit.
