The new Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition will only be on sale for a year

Built by Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations, the Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition – the highest range Velar you can buy – will only be available in the market for a year for a touch of exclusivity.

With a 5.0-litre supercharged V8, the 550 hp winner of the World Car Design of the Year in 2018 will do 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 274 km/h.

To cope with that level of performance, the brakes and suspension too have been upgraded; with revised Continuously Variable Dampers and 4-pot caliper brakes in the front, tucked behind the 21-inch lightweight wheels.

The new Dynamic Edition Velar features a new front bumper with larger air intakes, a new grille and a reworked rear bumper to accommodate the quad exhaust tips.

The Dynamic Edition’s Variable Active Exhaust System optimises the V8 engine’s rumble and is 7.1 kg lighter than the standard system.

Aerodynamic enhancements include a transmission tunnel undertray, allowing the Velar to cut through air more efficiently. Improvements on the undercarriage also extends to the upgraded anti-roll bars for reduced body roll.

Inside, the SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition is treated exclusively to Windsor leather upholstery, 20-way adjustable heated/cooled seats with massage function and a bespoke SVAutobiography Dynamic start-up screen.

All in all, engineers at Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations spent 63,900 hours fine-tuning the Range Rover Velar’s ride, handling and responsiveness.
