Honda Malaysia has just announced limited special editions for the popular Honda Jazz and BR-V. Only 300 units each of the Jazz Mugen and BR-V Special Edition will be available so you better hurry!
This is not the first time we’ve heard of the Jazz Mugen, having to be previewed as a concept at the 2018 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS). The production model is near identical to the concept with new front aero bumper, Mugen front grille, LED front fog lamps along the front lip, side under spoiler, tailgate garnish, rear under spoiler and a rear spoiler. The 17-inch 10-spoke Mugen alloy wheels were given a miss, soldiering on with the same 15-inch multi-spoke design.
Production Model Jazz Mugen Concept
The Jazz Mugen is based on the top-grade Jazz 1.5 V which is powered by a 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine and CVT pushing 120 hp and 145 Nm. Other than the Mugen body kit, the rest of the car is as per before with six air bags, Vehicle Stability Control, automatic climate control, half leather upholstery and 6.8-inch Display Audio.
The Jazz Mugen is priced at RM88,600 for the Modern Steel Metallic while opting for White Orchid Pearl will bump the price up to RM88,720.
On the outside, the BR-V SE gains a new tailgate spoiler, running board, side step garnish while the cabin is enhanced with a 6.8-inch infotainment system with Smartphone Connectivity. Other than that, the rest of the car is identical as before. The BR-V SE features the same 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC and CVT combo with 120 hp and 145 Nm of torque.
Additionally, Honda Malaysia is also introducing a new Passion Red Pearl for the BR-V line-up, replacing the Dark Ruby Red Pearl. The BR-V SE is available exclusively in Passion Red Pearl or White Orchid Pearl priced at RM90,700 and RM91,000 respectively.
