The new Peugeot 508 SW will also get frameless doors, would you want one?

Peugeot has just unveiled the estate version of its latest Peugeot 508. Like the sedan, the Peugeot 508 SW also gets an all-new sleek design, frameless doors and the latest-generation i-Cockpit cabin design language.

Set for global debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show in October, the new 508 SW follows the radical design of the sedan – low roof, dynamic body shape and flowing lines. Exterior highlights include full LED headlamps, vertical opalescent LED daytime running lights, mesh front grille and Lion Claw LED taillamps.

Measuring at 4.78m long and 1.42m in length, the 508 SW naturally can swallow more cargo with 530 litres hidden behind the hands-free powered tailgate, 43 litres more than its sedan twin. Fold the rear seats down and you’ll get a total load capacity of 1,780 litres.

With the new-generation Peugeot i-Cockpit design, occupants in the 508 SW will be greeted with LCD instrument cluster, 10-speaker FOCAL hi-fi system, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, Lane Keeping Assist and a Night Vision system.

Powertrain options for the 508 SW include two petrol and four diesel options, all mated to either a new eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual. Peugeot has also hinted that a plug-in hybrid petrol engine with an all-electric range of 50 km will join the variant line up in the second half 2019.
