Mercedes-Benz CLS teased again, looks like a very promising show stopper

We are two days away from the global unveiling of the third-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS but the guys at Daimler has taken to YouTube to tease its all-new four-door fastback.

We’ve seen the E-Class coupe-like interior of the new CLS on the first set of teaser photos and now Mercedes-Benz has showed off some of its exterior design in a 30 second teaser video. We won’t spoil the fun for you, rundown is after the video.

Like the first teaser photo, we can clearly see that the new CLS will feature a more angular front-end design, with a large Tri-Star badge mounted on the front grille. The headlamps are very similar to the AMG GT, slim housing with boomerang shaped daytime running light. Multibeam LED technology is also shown in the teaser video.

On the side, we can clearly see the sloping roof design just starting to taper down after the B-pillars. The front and rear seats appear to have quite a distance between them although it might be Mercedes-Benz playing with our eyes, so take it with a pinch of salt. Gone are slanted taillamps of the previous generation CLS and in its place, are a pair of sleek LED taillamps with a single taillamp graphic.

The all-new Mercedes-Benz CLS will make its official debut on 29 November 2017 and will make its way to the 2017 LA Motor Show. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) had the second-generation CLS 400 on sale for RM599k, expect the third-generation CLS to make its way to our shores sometime in 2018.
