The Hyundai Tucson has just received another facelift, quite possibly the final update before Hyundai Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) introduces the all-new Tucson. This model made its global debut two years ago, and is now locally assembled at Inokom’s plant in Kulim, Kedah. Prices have also gone down by as much as 10 percent compared to the CBU variants sold prior to this, which carried a base price tag of RM131,888 for the 2.0L Elegance.

Changes to the SUV are minimal, as they (both CKD Tucsons) only benefit from LED positioning lights (not DRL) and leather seats. Both still sit on 17-inch wheels shod with 225/60 R17 series tyres, while the Sport variant comes with panoramic sunroof, all-round body kit, chrome door handles, push-start button, front and rear parking sensors as well as front and rear view cameras.
Two airbags will be fitted to the Elegance variant, whereas the Sport will get six including side and curtain airbags. Other safety features exclusive to the Sport variant are Electronic Stability Program, Downhill Brake Control, Hill-start Assist and Vehicle Stability Management.
The Elegance and Sport variants are priced at RM115,888 and RM132,888 respectively, and offered along with it is the five-year or 300,000 km extended warranty programme (whichever occurs first) and Hyundai’s 24-hour roadside assist service. You can have the Tucson in four colours – Pure White, Titanium Grey, Hyper Metallic, Pepper Grey, while the Sport gets four additional exclusive colours – Remington Red, Phantom Black Sleek Silver and Platinum Silver.
