The third-generation Nissan Teana etched its name in the ASEAN New Car Assessment Programme’s (NCAP) history by being the first car to achieve a perfect score of 16.00 points in the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), as well as achieving 5-Star rating in Child Occupant Protection (COP), with 88 percent compliance as per ASEAN NCAP standards.

Part of the crash test’s success is attributed to the Teana’s impressive safety kit which includes six airbags, Vehicle Dynamic Control (also known as ESC), Active Understeer Control and Traction Control System. The test crash unit is assembled in Thailand, but is exactly the same Teana we’re getting in terms of specifications.
