It’s that time of the year again, where people start flipping their cheque books to buy new cars in anticipation of the holiday and festive season.

Mitsu

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has just announced that their year-end sales campaign, the Mitsubishi Countdown Deals, has started and buyers can look forward to receive up to RM7,000 in cash rebates for bookings made before 31 December 2014.

Mitsubishi Attrage

For those who are looking into the Attrage, you’d be please to know that it comes with a cash rebate of RM6,000. As a recap, the Attrage is powered by the 1.2-litre MIVEC engine that is paired to a CVT gearbox that boasts a fuel consumption rating of 21km per litre. The Attrage GS (which we reviewed) goes for RM67,798.50 whereas the range topping SE goes for RM75,796.50.

Mitsubishi ASX

For the ASX, you get RM4,000 cash rebate. Priced at RM114,743.50 for the 2WD variant and RM128,879.50 for the 4WD, both the locally assembled ASXs are powered by the 2.0-litre MIVEC engine that is also paired with a CVT gearbox with six virtual ratios for a sportier drive. We recently reviewed both these units, and MMM just recently introduced the ASX Designer Edition that is limited to 180 units. It’s unclear if the latter is subjected to the promotional campaign, but we think that it’s quite unlikely.

Pajero Sport VGT

If the ASX isn’t big enough for your liking, then it’s worth noting that this seven-seater SUV, the Pajero Sport VGT, is given a RM5,000 cash rebate. This top-spec Pajero Sport VGT is priced at RM172,211.60, while the Sport GL goes for RM151,277.60. Underneath the hood of this SUV is the 2.5-litre common-rail diesel engine that is capable of 175 hp and 350 Nm of torque.

Triton VGT

Last but not least, the Triton VGT. This is now offered with a cash rebate of up to RM7,000, and is priced at RM107,809.60. It shares the same 2.5-litre common rail diesel engine as the Pajero Sport.

Again, the campaign runs until the last day of the year, so be sure to drop by at any one of the 57 Mitsubishi dealerships nationwide by then.
