The Perodua QV-E G+ Sport Edition Concept gears up the EV hatchback with sportier body kit, interior, and carbon fibre trims

While most attention at the Perodua booth during the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026 was focused on the striking C2 concept, the national carmaker qhas also previewed another showpiece on the sidelines — the Perodua QV-E G+ Edition concept. Essentially a dressed-up version of the nation’s first “homegrown” EV, it showcases a range of sporty accessories that could potentially hint at a sportier version.

While it’s not fully confirmed yet, the ‘G+’ in its name most likely stands for GearUp — Perodua’s official in-house accessories brand that focuses on cosmetic and practical add-ons. In this form, the Perodua QV-E takes on an even more extroverted, track-inspired appearance than the already sporty standard model.

Starting at the front, the slim grille with its hexagonal inserts has been replaced by a much larger opening featuring bold vertical and horizontal slats. Paired with a prominent forged carbon-look front lip, the QV-E G+ adopts a far more purposeful appearance, as though it’s made some enthusiastic mountain runs.

The aggressive treatment continues along the sides with more pronounced side skirts, before carrying through to the rear where the Perodua QV-E G+ gains a chunkier bumper and a larger diffuser. Above the full-width lightbar sits an additional ducktail spoiler, while the roof-mounted spoiler has also been enlarged for, well, “aerodynamic purposes”. As for all the matte black trim you see around the car, including its front bonnet, it’s actually made up of carbon fibre-look wrap stickers.

Inside, the Perodua QV-E G+ Edition receives the familiar black-and-red GearUp treatment, most notably through its revised seats. While retaining the same overall shape, the semi-leather and fabric upholstery has been replaced with a sportier leather-and-Alcantara combination, complete with red accents and contrast stitching. The black-and-red theme extends to the floor mats as well, which feature exclusive “G+” branding.

The display unit shown at KLIMS 2026 also doubles as a test mule for a Dolby Atmos surround sound system. However, the vehicle itself continues to utilise the same six-speaker audio setup as the standard QV-E.

Despite its far more aggressive appearance, Perodua has not indicated whether the QV-E G+ Edition previews a future performance-oriented variant. As such, it retains the same powertrain as the standard QV-E concept, consisting of a front-mounted electric motor producing 204 hp and 285 Nm of torque. This enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 165 km/h.

Power is supplied by a CATL-sourced 52.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which provides up to 445 km of range under the NEDC cycle. Charging is supported at up to 6.6 kW AC, requiring around eight hours for a full charge, while 60 kW DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes

The Perodua QV-E has also recently received a price revision for 2026, with the vehicle now priced from RM63,499, down from the previously announced RM80,000. The accompanying nine-year battery leasing package has likewise been reduced from RM275 to RM215 per month.

For the first time, Perodua is also offering buyers the option to purchase the QV-E with the battery included, eliminating the need for a battery leasing subscription. This battery-inclusive package is priced from RM87,499.
