Shell Malaysia has launched the Shell Recharge App, its new EV charging platform that it says is designed to make electrified vehicle (EV) charging at Shell stations across Malaysia more convenient. The app allows users to locate, reserve, and pay for charging sessions, representing the company’s latest step in expanding its EV charging network and improving accessibility for EV drivers nationwide.
Now available in Apple’s App Store and Android’s Google Play Store, the app will build on Shell’s expanding network of charging stations, including its high-performance charging (HPC) network along the North-South and East-West highways, and the highest-altitude EV charging hub at Genting Highlands.
With the introduction of the new Shell Recharge app, Shell also announced it will phase out its ParkEasy app. Existing users of the ParkEasy app will need to download and register for a new account on the Shell Recharge App. Those who have unused credits can follow the instructions on Shell’s ParkEasy migration site to carry over their credits into the new app.
Like its predecessor, the new Shell Recharge app will still let users reserve a charger in advance to ensure availability upon arrival, while real-time updates allow them to track their charging sessions as they happen. Payments can be made directly through the app by linking a debit or credit card for quicker transactions.

The Shell Recharge App also supports cross-border roaming, enabling users to charge their vehicles in both Malaysia and Singapore using a single platform — a useful feature for those who frequently drive between the two countries. Additionally, the in-app site locator helps drivers find nearby chargers and plan routes more efficiently.
In conjunction with the launch, Shell is offering a limited-time promotion to celebrate the 11.11 sales season. The company says all Shell Recharge App users will be entitled to a rate of RM1.11 per kWh when charging at any Shell Recharge HPC site in Malaysia today.
Shell Mobility & Convenience Malaysia General Manager, Seow Lee Ming, said, “The launch of the Shell Recharge App marks the next chapter of our evolution in EV charging. It builds on the progress made over the years in expanding our high-performance charging network and enhancing reliability for EV drivers across Malaysia.”
“With the new Shell Recharge App, we are powering progress further by enabling an easier, smoother, and more seamless journey so that customers have confidence to go further with Shell. It also reinforces Shell’s commitment to advancing Malaysia’s energy transition, while supporting the growing community of EV drivers,” she added.
