2025 Honda HR-V facelift launched in Malaysia —  4 variants, CKD from RM115k


Honda Malaysia has launched the new 2025 Honda HR-V facelift in Malaysia with a starting price of RM115,900 on-the-road, without insurance. The locally assembled (CKD) compact crossover will come in four variants and features mild styling updates, upgraded tech and new colour options.

Prices for the S and E variants remain unchanged, but the V and RS both see a slight RM2,000 price hike.

Outside, the new HR-V sports a fresher look with new bumpers complemented by a wider front grille. At the back, the full-width tail light design has been updated to carry a simpler look. Notable exterior features for the new HR-V facelift include:

  • Projected LED headlights (RS only)
  • Full-width LED combination taillight
  • LED daytime running lights 
  • Power folding side mirrors (V and RS gets automatic folding on vehicle lock)

  • 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels

Interestingly, the facelifted Honda HR-V now comes with 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels across all four variants. The standard colour options include Platinum White Pearl (RM2,000 surcharge), Meteoroid Grey Metallic, and Stellar Diamond Pearl, while two new colours — Phoenix Orange Pearl (RM2,000 surcharge) and Crystal Black Pearl — have been added with the facelift.

Moving inside, the interior has been updated with the eight-inch central infotainment screen now supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The centre console now features a more open design, with a new storage compartment situated below the air-con controls. Exclusive to the RS variant are leather seats with RS embossment. Notable interior features are as follows: 

  • 8-inch Display Audio head-unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • 7-inch TFT display for the instrument cluster (E and above)

The range kicks off with a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine in the S variant producing 121 hp and 145 Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a CVT gearbox and completes the 0-100 km/h in 12.1 seconds and tops out with a maximum speed of 186 km/h.

The E and V variants are fitted with a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 181 hp and 240 Nm of torque. Likewise, its got a CVT gearbox powering the front wheels and goes from 0-100 km/h in 8.7 seconds with a top speed of 200 km/h

The top-of-the-range RS e:HEV on the other hand is powered by a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine and two electric motors (one Traction motor) with a total system output of 131 hp and 253 Nm of torque. Power is transferred via an eCVT gearbox and travels from 0-100 km/h in 10.7 seconds and achieves a top speed of 170 km/h.

The 2025 facelifted Honda HR-V comes equipped with the Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), now with the addition of Adaptive Driving Beam and Active Cornering Light — the latter being a first for Honda in Malaysia. These include features like:

  • Autonomous emergency braking
  • Front collision warning 
  • Adaptive cruise control with stop-go functionality
  • Lane keeping assist
  • Lane centring assist
  • Automatic high beam
  • Lead vehicle departure warning
  • LaneWatch blind-spot camera (V and RS variants only)
  • Adaptive Driving Beam 
  • Active Cornering Light

The Honda Connect remote connectivity suite is also now available across the board, with all variants getting three years of subscription included in the price.

The newly facelifted 2025 Honda HR-V is now available in Malaysia with four variants with prices ranging from RM115,900 to RM143,900 on-the-road, without insurance. Prices are inclusive of a five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty and five times free labour for servicing (applicable within 100,000 km or five years). Specific to the 1.5L e:HEV RS is an additional eight-year, unlimited-mileage warranty for the lithium-ion hybrid battery.
