BYD celebrates sales milestone in the Philippines with 10,000 NEVs sold

BYD Cars Philippines has officially sold its 10,000th new energy vehicle (NEV) in the country, according to reports from Autocar Philippines. The 10,000th BYD model sold in the Philippines is the fully electric (EV) BYD e6 Max 7 MPV, known as the BYD M6 in Malaysia.

This sales milestone follows the Chinese carmaker’s establishment in the Philippines in 2023. More recently, BYD has expanded its model lineup to ten models from four since January 2024, offering both EVs and the brand’s plug-in hybrid (PHEV) DM-i vehicles.

Furthermore, BYD Cars Philippines is also aiming to grow its dealership network to 77 locations by the end of 2025.

Closer to home in Malaysia, BYD has also achieved the sales milestone of 10,000 vehicles sold in 2024, less than two years after its arrival in Malaysia in 2022.

Globally, the Chinese carmaker has produced its 10th millionth NEV at its Xiaomo Production Base in China and achieved another sales milestone by selling over four million cars annually in 2024 for the first time.
