Mazda has unveiled the Mazda EZ-60 at the Shanghai Auto Show 2025. This marks the second model to be developed through Mazda’s partnership with Changan Automobile, following the launch of the Mazda EZ-6 last year.
Dimension-wise, the EZ-60 measures 4,850 mm in length, 1,935 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height. For context, the Mazda EX-60 is longer and wider, but shorter than the Tesla Model Y.
The Mazda EZ-60 adopts Mazda’s design theme called “FUTURE + SOUL x MODERN”. This design language represents the latest iteration of Mazda’s signature Kodo design with an illuminated Mazda emblem and illuminated trapezoidal grille that seamlessly connects to the sleek daytime running lights (DRLs). The headlights are integrated in the front bumper.
Mazda states that the EZ-60’s design is engineered to minimise the drag coefficient and optimise battery pack cooling. This can be seen on the digital side mirrors, air passageways sculpted in the hood, and the flow-through buttress on its D-pillar, a design element usually only found on supercars.

The cabin of the Mazda EZ-60 features a prominent 26.45-inch 5K integrated flat-panel centre display and a virtual 3D heads-up display. Other interior features of the Mazda EZ-60 include a 23-speaker sound system with integrated speakers inside the driver and front passenger headrests.
According to Mazda, there are smart features which enhance safety and convenience which can be operated by voice, touch, or gesture. It also states the Mazda EZ-60 “intelligent drive” feature can help the driver avoid accidents and its “intelligent parking” feature can be operated by voice outside the vehicle.
Mazda has yet to reveal specific powertrain details for the EZ-60, only confirming that the pre-production model on display is rear-wheel drive (RWD). They also shared that both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains, along with electronically controlled dampers, will be available.
According to Mazda, the BEV variant of the EZ-60 is expected to have a range of around 600 km (CLTC), while the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain range is targeted to exceed 1,000 km (CLTC).
Furthermore, Mazda highlighted that the PHEV variant will feature a 50:50 weight distribution. This should deliver the brand’s signature Jinba-Ittai driving characteristic. The Mazda EZ-60 is expected to go on sale in China in 2025, expanding Mazda’s EV lineup in the Chinese market alongside the Mazda EZ-6 launched last year.
