Following the Jetour Dashing launch in Malaysia, Jetour Auto Malaysia will be adding two more models into its line-up later this year, including a seven-seater SUV, and a fully electric (EV) model, the company announced today. Also in its plans are several internal combustion engine (ICE) and plug-in-hubrid (PHEV) models, set to be introduced in the Malaysian market in the near future.
The seven-seater SUV was previously previewed during the 2024 Malaysia Autoshow, although due to its similar name to a certain Malaysian SUV, it will bear a different name when it eventually launches in Malaysia. The model shown at the motor show is actually the pre-facelift model, as an updated model has already been launched in China.
In its pre-facelift guise, the Jetour seven-seater measures 4,724 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, 1,720 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,720 mm. When it is launched locally, this SUV will compete against the Proton X90 and the Omoda C9, both of which occupies the same segment.
Under the bonnet of the Jetour seven-seater SUV is a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 156 hp and 230 Nm, paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) that powers the front wheels.
If the preview is any indication, Malaysia will likely receive two variants of the Jetour seven-seater SUV: Prime and Signature, each with a seven-seat layout. The preview unit showcases a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and is equipped with a 50W wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, and a four-speaker sound system.

As for the EV model, the image shown at the Dashing’s launch today points us to a Jetour EV model known as the Jetour X50e in Indonesia. This EV model was previewed during the 2025 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) and is planned for launch in the archipelago later this year. We’re guessing that the EV crossover will also be renamed for its local Malaysian launch.
Other Jetour models planned for Malaysia include the Jetour T1, the Jetour T2, as well as three undisclosed models. The company indicated that one of these three undisclosed models will be a pickup truck.
The Jetour T1 and T2 are aesthetically similar, both featuring a boxy exterior design. However, the Jetour T2 is distinguished by its more rugged styling, including roof rails, pronounced wheel arches, and unique alloy wheel design. Both the Jetour T1 and T2 are available with ICE and PHEV powertrains, which lines up with Jetour Malaysia’s product strategy shown today.
On the ICE front, the Jetour T1 in its home country is offered with either a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 184 hp and 290 Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) that drives the front wheels (FWD), or a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that makes 254 hp and 390 Nm. This is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and a four-wheel drive (4WD) drivetrain.
The Jetour T2, meanwhile, gets two ICE powertrain options. The first is a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 184 hp and 290 Nm, paired with a seven-speed DCT and front-wheel drive (FWD). Alternatively, there’s also a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 254 hp and 390 Nm, paired with a seven-speed DCT and 4WD.
For PHEVs, the Jetour T1 PHEV is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 156 hp and 220 Nm of torque, paired with an electric motor generating 204 hp (150 kW) and 310 Nm, and a single-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). Total system output is rated at 360 hp and 530 Nm. An onboard 26.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack provides an EV range of 150 km (CLTC).
As for the Jetour T2 i-DM, it gets a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 156 hp and 220 Nm of torque, paired to two different motor configuration depending on the drivetrain layout. The two-wheel drive (2WD) variant uses a 224 hp (165 kW) electric motor on the front axle, while 4WD variants gains an additional 238 hp (138 kW) electric motor on the rear axle.
Combined, the 4WD variant has an output of 619 hp and 920 Nm. Both variants of the Jetour T2 i-DM use a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). The EV range is rated at 206 km, presumably under the CLTC cycle, from a 43.24 kWh LFP battery pack provided by CATL.
