The United Kingdom has received its first delivery of the Leapmotor C10, and it is none other than former Liverpool football striker, Michael Owen.
The legendary striker for the Reds took delivery of the Leapmotor C10 last week, ahead of the official UK launch on March 1st where it will go on sale for GBP36,500 (approx. RM204k).
“I’m delighted to be the first Leapmotor customer in the UK. The C10 is a stunning looking car and is the perfect car for my and my family with some incredible tech, ample space and a reassuring top-level safety rating,” said the former footballer.
Leapmotor UK Managing Director said, “Michael Owen is one of the best football players this country has ever produced, so this is an exciting first signing for our brand.”
The Leapmotor C10 is only available in one variant in the UK market, similar to what Malaysia currently has on offer. It has a max output of 218 hp and 320 Nm of torque from its single motor on the front axle, more than enough for a 0-100 km/h blitz of 7.5 seconds before topping out at 170 km/h.
Connected to a 69.9 kWh battery pack, the Leapmotor C10 boasts a WLTP-rated EV range of 424 km.

Zooming out to the exterior of the Leapmotor C10 – which is an International CMF Design Award winner – the front of the car is garnished with unique ‘Angel Wings’ headlights followed up by the full-width taillight bar at the rear.
The inside of the Leapmotor sees a minimalist affair with two screens: A tablet-sized 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system that controls just about everything, and a 10.25-inch HD instrument panel that is the driver’s display in front of the steering wheel.
As far as colour options go, the exterior panels see a selection of four colourways: Glazed Green, Pearly White, Canopy Grey, and Tundra Grey. For the inside, you have a choice between Cirollo Brown or Midnight Aurora.
In Malaysia, the Leapmotor C10 is currently available for sale with a sticker price of RM159,000 – a very competitive C-segment price for a D-segment EV.
