Leapmotor C10 makes ASEAN debut in Malaysia – RM149k until 30 Nov 2024!

There’s a new Chinese EV brand in Malaysia, but this time, it’s with global backing from automotive giants Stellantis. This is Leapmotor, and their first global product, the C10 SUV, is now here in Malaysia – a first in the Southeast Asian region.

The Leapmotor C10 is offered in a single variant here in Malaysia, with pricing starting from RM159,000 on-the-road, and without insurance.

While it may look slightly unassuming, the Leapmotor C10’s minimalist design is actually an International CMF Design Award winner, also taking home the French Design Award this year. The decorated design is highlighted by its Angel Wings headlights and an animated full-width tail light bar around the back.

It comes in as a mid-sized D-segment SUV, measuring 4,740 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,825 mm, putting it right in the neighbourhood of the Tesla Model Y and Mercedes-Benz GLC.

A unique feature within the cabin is the Oeke-Tex silicone-based upholstery that promises to be “baby-friendly”, while also not sacrificing in comfort, feel, and appearance. Leapmotor also boasts an impressive interior space, citing a “class-leading” interior area measuring 1.8-metre long and 1.2-metre wide with the rear seats folded down flat, which the company says is about the size of a double bed.
