Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia’s “Drive Your Ambition” brand festival is coming to Sarawak. Dubbed a “4×4 experiential event”, the festival will be taking place in ParkCity Eastwood, Miri, on 18 and 19 January 2025, with the location turning into a playground for the all-new 2024 Mitsubishi Triton.
Guests at the event will be able to experience the all-new Mitsubishi Triton flexing its muscles and power through a series of challenging terrains and different off-road conditions.
The main highlight of the ‘Drive your Ambition’ festival is the obstacle test drive. Instead of proving its worth on a flat piece of asphalt, the Triton will instead go through a gauntlet of obstacle courses. This includes mud pits, gravel pits, water wading, side traverse, and articulation crawling. There’s no better way to test a pickup than this!
Guests will also be able to experience the Triton’s Super Select 4WD-II system on the obstacle course that changes drivetrain between four different settings: 2H (rear-wheel drive), 4H (full-time four-wheel drive), 4HLc (locked centre differential, and 4LLc (locked centre differential with lower gears).
Additionally, there are now seven drive modes, including on-road modes, that work in tandem with the Super Select System. An increase over the four off-road modes in the previous Triton model.
Also present in the ‘Drive your Ambition’ festival is the new third-gen Triton Single Cab that can also be test-driven. This time, one tonne of palm oil is loaded on the bed whilst being tested in water wading, hill climbs, and gravel pit obstacles to further prove its mantle in practical real-world usage conditions.
The festival will also have a variety of promotions to go with the all-new Mitsubishi Triton, including goodies like Diesel Rewards and Two-Year Free Maintenance. Naturehike goods such as camping stools and tote bags are also up for grabs, including a Naturehike cooler box worth RM150 if you book the Triton at the event.
The ‘Drive your Ambition’ festival isn’t just for car enthusiasts to see what the new Triton pickup is made of in these obstacle courses; it’s also designed for fun for the whole family with artists Dabra Sia and Azam Pitt performing on 18 January and 19 January respectively.
Launched in October 2024, the all-new 2024 Mitsubishi Triton is now available in Malaysia in five different variants. On the range-topping Athlete, the 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine has been updated to now make 204 hp and 470 Nm of torque. Oh, and it also won Japan’s 2024-2025 Car of the Year Design Award, too.
