Following its preview in August, SAIC Motor Malaysia has now announced official pricing for the MG HS. The C-segment SUV model will be offered in two variants, Standard and Lux, priced at RM129,900 and RM145,900 respectively.
In celebration of the launch and the marque’s 100-year anniversary, SAIC Motor Malaysia will also be offering a limited-time introductory offer for the MG HS with a RM5,000 rebate, bringing the price down to RM124,900 and RM140,900 for the Standard and Lux variants.
Highlights on the MG HS include LED headlights and Daytime Running Lights, LED tail lights, dual exhaust outlets, a roof-mounted spoiler, and exclusively on the Lux variant, a set of 18-inch diamond-cut wheels, alongside red brake calipers and upgraded ventilated front brakes.
Inside, the Lux variant of the MG HS, as its name implies, gets all the goodies including 64-colour ambient lighting system, a panoramic glass roof, dual-zone climate control, sports seats, the MG Pilot advanced driver assistance features, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The 10.1-inch infotainment display (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) is standard across the board, however, as are the power adjustable front seats and 360-degree surround view monitor.

Both variants are equipped with the same powertrain, with a 1.5-litre turbocharged inline-four engine sending 162 hp and 250 Nm to the front wheels via seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. In terms of performance, the MG HS is rated for a century sprint in 9.6 seconds, onward to a top speed of 190 km/h.
The MG HS is offered in four exterior colour options: Black Pearl, Arctic White, Camden Grey, and Dynamic Red, all paired to a black interior with soft-touch leather. Included in the price is a five-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty, alongside a seven-year unlimited mileage powertrain warranty.
