The long-awaited 2024 Smart #3 has finally been launched in Malaysia and is offered in three variants – Pro, Premium, and Brabus, prices start from RM (OTR, without insurance).
- Smart #3 Pro – RM175,000
- Smart #3 Premium – RM215,000
- Smart #3 Brabus – RM255,000
The Smart #3 is built on the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform, which is the same platform that underpins the Smart #1. Dimension-wise, the Smart #3 Pro, Premium, and Brabus measure 4,370 mm long, 1,844 mm wide, and 1,556 mm tall, underpinned by a 2,788 mm wheelbase.

On the outside, all variants of the Smart #3 in Malaysia get LED headlamps, albeit different types, along with 19-inch alloys, and a power tailgate. As expected, the Smart #3 Brabus gets a sportier exterior design, thanks to the Brabus aero kit. The higher-end Premium and Brabus variants also get luminous side logos that pulse when the car is being charged.
The Smart #3 Pro in Malaysia features a total of 6 color combinations. This includes Digital White, Ceramic Cream, Future Green, Electron Blue – Matte, Cyber Silver and Quantum Blue. However, for the base Smart #3 Pro, you only get two colors – Digital White and Meta Black.
The Smart #3 Brabus in Malaysia features a total of 5 color combinations. This includes Photon Orange, Meta Black (with Radiant Red roof), Atom Grey-Matte, Atom Grey-Matte (with Radiant Red roof), and Digital White (with Eclipse Black roof).
Standard exterior equipment included with the Smart #3 Pro in Malaysia are:
- CyberSparks LED headlamps with daytime running lights (DRL)

The Smart #3 Premium gets these extras:

The power output of all the Smart #3 variants is identical to their #1 counterparts, although there is a slight improvement in acceleration and efficiency due to the lower drag coefficient (0.27 compared to the #1’s 0.29).
Performance-wise, the Smart #3 Pro and Premium in Malaysia feature a single motor setup that delivers a maximum output of 272 hp (metric) and 343 Nm to the rear wheels. To better suit the driver’s needs, Smart has packed its new EV with three drive modes – Eco, Comfort, and Sport.
The top-of-the-range Brabus variant on the other hand is powered by a dual-motor setup that pushes 428 hp (metric) and 543 Nm to all four wheels. Like its more affordable Pro and Premium counterparts, the Smart #3 Brabus gets the same drive modes, with the addition of a Brabus mode, which comes with an engine sound that simulates an Italian V6.
Range-wise, the entry-level Smart #3 Pro in Malaysia is said to be able to travel as far as 325 km (WLTP) thanks to its 49 kWh LFP battery. The Premium variant on the other hand can travel further up to 455 km (WLTP), thanks to its 66 kWh ternary (NCM) battery.
Despite the Smart #3 Brabus also sporting the same battery capacity as the Premium variant, it has a shorter range of 415 km (WLTP) due to the more powerful dual motors.
