With two months left to spare for 2023, UMW Toyota Motor has reported that it sold 87,422 cars (Toyota and Lexus) in the first 10 months of 2023, showing a 9.1% growth from the same period in 2022. In October, UMW Toyota Motor sold 10,931 cars – 10,709 units from Toyota and 222 units from Lexus.
Besides the positive sales growth for 2023, the company has also seen improvements in its local assembly (CKD) operations. According to UMW Toyota, its Bukit Raja and Shah Alam plants have seen continuous enhancements that have led to more streamlined operations and increased capacity. The company has also integrated advanced technologies and sustainable practices at both facilities.

The latest Toyota models to join UMW Toyota’s offerings in Malaysia are the Toyota Alphard and the Toyota Vellfire luxury MPVs. UMW Toyota says that both of these cars have set a new benchmark for advanced safety features in their segment. The highlight of the refreshed MPVs is the new 2.4-litre turbocharged gasoline engine.
UMW Toyota Motor President, Datuk Ravindran K. said, “In an ever-evolving automotive landscape, the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire stand as beacons of innovation and sophistication. They set new standards for luxury and performance in the MPV segment, reflecting our commitment to delivering exceptional vehicles that exceed expectations.”
As we approach the new year, UMW Toyota is also introducing a range of promotions for its models. The company has introduced its “Celebrate the Symphony of Lights” promotion for November where customers could grab up to 100% financing for selected models, with promotional benefits of up to RM15,000 available across a diverse range of twelve Toyota models, including the much-anticipated All New Vios and the new Toyota Yaris. Additionally, the Toyota Service Savers program offers convenient monthly installments starting from as low as RM18.
