MINI Clubman ‘Jermyn Edition’ pays tribute to fashion street in London

Singapore welcomed a special edition MINI Clubman recently, the Clubman Jermyn Edition, named after an iconic street in London known for refined menswear.

Head of MINI Asia, Kidd Yam said, “The MINI Clubman is without a doubt the suavest model of the marque. When conceptualising this special edition, we found ourselves drawn to Jermyn Street in London, where some of the most important names in menswear began.

“Today, Jermyn Street is widely considered the spiritual home for refined British menswear and therefore the Jermyn Edition is for those who value refinement, possess savoir-faire, and seek to live their lives with authenticity and passion.”

The Clubman Jermyn Edition is only available in three exterior colours – Enigmatic Black, Pepper White, and Rooftop Grey.

In case you haven’t noticed, there is only one racing stripe on the front bonnet of the Jermyn Edition, as opposed to the usual two. The Herringbone decal as MINI calls it, is only available in Melting Silver or Matte Black.

Other exclusive items on the exterior include an emblem with a Herringbone background, on the C-pillar. The front door sill plates have the same Herringbone design etched into them and upon opening the doors, the ‘Jermyn Edition’ letters are illuminated.

The Jermyn also gets the MINI Yours optional 18-inch dual-tone wheels and the Union Jack graphics on the tail lights like most MINIs today. The interior is wrapped in MINI Yours Leather Lounge upholstery, with more Jermyn emblems on the dashboard ahead.

Under the hood of the Clubman Jermyn Edition is 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with 178 hp and 280 Nm, allowing the car to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. The engine is paired to a 7-speed gearbox.
