Omoda Jaecoo, during the Chery International Business Summit, announced that it has surpassed one million vehicles sold worldwide just three years after its global debut. Alongside this milestone, Omoda Jaecoo International Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shawn Xu, also outlined the company’s next phase of expansion to carry the momentum, with six new models set to arrive over the next three years.
Starting with the Jaecoo side of the story, the brand is set to receive four new models. So far, however, the company has yet to reveal any concrete details or even exterior shots — only their names, and some, only their respective codenames.
Beginning with the J9, it will undoubtedly sit above the existing J8 as the brand’s new flagship model. While no details have been shared just yet, it could inherit much of its design and features from the Fulwin T11 — a flagship six-seater SUV from one of Chery’s premium sub-brands that made its debut in China last year.
Next up is the KP31, which will be the longest model in the lineup, measuring up to 5,400 mm in length. This will take the form of a pickup truck, first revealed as a concept earlier this February in Australia. While much remains under wraps, it is expected to be the world’s first diesel-powered plug-in hybrid (PHEV) pickup.

Sitting between the two is another vehicle codenamed T1TP, which could be based on the Chery Tiggo V — an SUV/pickup-style vehicle unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show 2026, somewhat akin to models like the Ford Ranger and Everest. It was suggested at the show that it could feature either pure petrol or PHEV powertrains, with the latter likely utilising the group’s Super Hybrid System for plug-in hybrids (SHS-P).
Lastly, there’s the new entry-level model known as the J3, which will sit just below the existing Jaecoo J5 in both size and price. According to the charts shown, it will measure around 4,200 mm in length — making it smaller than the Honda HR-V and closer in size to the Toyota Yaris Cross or Perodua Ativa.
As for Omoda, the brand will introduce a new flagship off-road crossover measuring around 4,700 mm — slotting between the Omoda O7 and Omoda O5 (both expected for Malaysia soon), but positioned above both in pricing. Codenamed T1QC, the model could bring a more cyberpunk, gaming-inspired twist to the off-road segment, which aligns closely with the brand’s identity.
Alongside these model announcements, Omoda Jaecoo also revealed a bunch of features it plans on introducing, possibly in the new models mentioned above. One of the highlights is a new Valet Parking Driver (VPD) system. It enables vehicles to independently locate a parking space, park themselves, and even return to the driver, all without human intervention.
There will also be an AI-powered “virtual cockpit”, capable of responding to more natural, vague voice commands such as “show me the hottest nightclubs around me”, an example shared by Shawn Xu, as well as assisting in navigation, music, core vehicle operations, and more. A new night mode will allow for safer driving in poorly lit conditions, providing up to 300m of visibility in conditions such as haze, hail, fog, and more.
Aiming to reach younger and more active buyers, the company has also developed its own sound system dubbed “O & J Sound”. This setup promises a 20% improvement in sound quality, thanks in part to 24-karat gold tweeter diaphragms, and will feature up to 23 speakers. And catering to the more adventurous crowd, there will also be a new off-road mode with up to seven terrain modes.

Rounding things off is the introduction of a new launch control feature, set to debut on the sportier Omoda O4 Ultra SHS-H. Speaking of which, the Omoda O4 Ultra SHS-H brings a more aggressive take on the standard model, with a sharper exterior design that includes a massive rear wing, painted brake callipers, sportier wheels, and more pronounced bumpers. Handling is also said to be improved, although specifics remain under wraps.
Powering it is a 1.5-litre engine producing 143 hp and 215 Nm, paired with an electric motor delivering 204 hp and 310 Nm. While full combined output figures have yet to be disclosed, the company claims a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 179 km/h.
Noting that the cyberpunk/gaming-inspired Omoda 4 is on its way to Malaysia, this could prove to be a popular model for those seeking the most aggressive offering. Let’s just hope that they dont charge too much of a premium for it.
