Alongside the all-new fifth-generation Nissan X-Trail, Nissan has also unveiled the all-new third-generation Nissan Juke. Debuting as an EV only, Nissan aims to attract new customers with the all-new Juke. And just like the original Juke back in 2010, it is just as radically styled.
Visually, the all-new Nissan Juke leans heavily into that signature “love-it-or-hate-it” design, but dialled up for the EV era. Up front, it gets ultra-slim LED daytime running lights stretched across the bonnet line, paired with round, almost “bug-eye” headlamps sitting bellow — a signature design feature of all Juke models. The surfaces are far more sculpted this time around too, with sharp creases, chunky haunches and a coupe-like roofline that gives it a more planted, almost concept car-like stance.
Around the back, the design continues to be just as dramatic. From the 3D renders and promotional videos, the Nissan Juke appears to feature a full-width lightbar. Though interestingly, it was never shown illuminated. What really stands out, however, are the elements mounted low on the bumper, finished with a crystal-like texture. Whether these form part of the actual rear light assembly or are simply cleverly designed reflectors remains unclear — but either way, it’s unmistakably quirky.
Just like the X-Trail, Nissan has not released powertrain details for the Juke. What is known, however, is that the Nissan Juke is going fully electric, and will be closely related to the Nissan Leaf. It sits on the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance’s CMF-EV architecture — the same dedicated EV platform underpinning the latest Leaf and larger Ariya.
That means you can expect a familiar front-motor, front-wheel-drive layout, with powertrain options likely mirroring the Leaf. In that car, outputs range from around 177 PS to 218 PS, paired with 52 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs. Range is expected to be in the region of 400 to 600 km (WLTP), along with DC fast charging of up to 150 kW, allowing a 10-80% top-up in roughly 30-35 minutes.

The Juke EV should also support newer EV tech such as vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capability, allowing it to feed energy back into the grid — further reinforcing its role as part of Nissan’s broader electrification push.
The Nissan Juke has historically been the “different” kind of swan in Nissan’s line-up — but it has always sold. Nissan says over 1.5 million units have been moved in Europe since 2010, making it the brand’s second best-selling model there, just behind the Qashqai. To keep its options open for as many people as possible, Nissan will continue offering the current second-generation Nissan Juke Hybrid, noting that it “will remain an important part of the line-up”.
