Jetour Malaysia to launch “multiple” new models in 2026, targets 50 sales and service outlets this year

It’s been just about a year since Jetour Auto Malaysia officially entered our markets. Having sold some 2,741 cars last year, the Chinese marque is now planning to further grow its presence in Malaysia in 2026 with new product launches, sales and service network expansion, as well as infrastructure enhancements.

For the former, that’ll come in the form of “multiple new model introductions” across the SUV spectrum, including urban-focused crossovers, off-road inspired SUVs, and also “lifestyle-led vehicles designed for families and long-distance journeys”, the company said in a press release.

Leading the charge of the new product offensive will be the brand’s T-Series, including the Jetour T2, which is now open for booking in Malaysia at an estimated price of RM178,888. Comparable in size to the GWM Tank 300, the Jetour T2 trades the ladder frame chassis of the former for a monocoque setup, which should translate to better comfort when travelling on city streets.

The company has also previously hinted at the arrival of the Jetour T1 in Malaysia, alongside its plans to introduce plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models in the country too. The “long-distance journeys” part of its statement earlier could also be alluding to the electrified powertrains, in reference to their combined ranges often exceeding the 1,000 km mark.

In 2026, the company also plans to expand its sales and service network in Malaysia from 31 outlets in 13 states currently, to a total of 50 outlets nationwide by the end of the year. This will be complemented by ongoing service network development, quarterly aftersales campaigns, and customer car clinics, the company says.

Additionally, Jetour Auto Malaysia will also be establishing a new headquarters and flagship service centre in the country, alongside a Regional Technical Training Centre as well as a dedicated Media and Content Centre in the first half of the year. The new facilities will be located somewhere in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, the company said at an event today.

You might also notice the new Jetour logo, which was officially unveiled in Malaysia earlier this week. The stylised ‘JT’ mark is inspired by the Chinese character ‘行’ (xing), which means travel or to move forward, in line with the marque’s philosophy of “defining travel by action”.

Speaking at a business briefing event earlier today, Jetour Auto Malaysia Vice President, Nicholas Ng, said: “Malaysia remains a key market in Jetour’s global growth strategy. Our focus is on building a stronger, more distinctive SUV portfolio while continuing to invest in the capabilities and infrastructure that support long-term confidence among customers and partners.”
